Ed Pearson's 2 out 2 run RBI in the 4th got the Yankees out front and Todd Musher's pinch hit 2-run homerun added the exclamation point for the Yankee win.

Dbacks Devan Ewell's 2nd inning HR sparked the Dbacks 11-3 rout of the Fairfax Astros in game 1.  Kenny Vazquez,2-3 with a double, Craig Kaufman, 2-3 and Ryan Parent with a 2-run double helped lead the way. Newly acquired pitcher/DH Jon Hoover got the win going 5 innings and striking out 3 Offensively , Dbacks.
