Austin Lindley pitched six scoreless innings
before giving up a run in the seventh. Lindley allowed only 4 hits while
striking out 9 Blues. Steve Smith was 3-4 and scored three times and Frankie
Ramirez went 3-3. |

This was a classic match up between the divisions
top two teams. The Blues led going into the bottom of seventh 6-4. Steve Smith
and Frank Ramirez both singled with one out. Terrence Parker tripled bringing in
the tying runs. Parker scored on a past ball to end the game and complete the
sweep of the eight man squad finishing the day for the blues. Special thanks to

The Virginia Diamondbacks offense was paced
by OF/2B Josh Brown's monster HR to left and 3 RBI's , Nick Richards 2-3 , and C
Ryan Parent 2-3 with 2 Runs scored .Pitchers Eric Hoffman (2-0), and Tom Soldan
kept the Red Sox offense in check only allowing 5 runs , on 6 hits , and
striking out 6. |
