Austin Lindley pitched six scoreless innings before giving up a run in the seventh. Lindley allowed only 4 hits while striking out 9 Blues. Steve Smith was 3-4 and scored three times and Frankie Ramirez went 3-3.

This was a classic match up between the divisions top two teams. The Blues led going into the bottom of seventh 6-4. Steve Smith and Frank Ramirez both singled with one out. Terrence Parker tripled bringing in the tying runs. Parker scored on a past ball to end the game and complete the sweep of the eight man squad finishing the day for the blues. The Virginia Diamondbacks  offense was paced by OF/2B Josh Brown's monster HR to left and 3 RBI's , Nick Richards 2-3 , and C Ryan Parent 2-3 with 2 Runs scored .Pitchers Eric Hoffman (2-0), and Tom Soldan kept the Red Sox offense in check only allowing 5 runs , on 6 hits , and striking out 6.

Damin Hopkins powered the Hawks offense going 5-5 with 2 triples and 4 RBI's. Jose Pabon and Chance continued their own personal homerun contest each hitting one over the left field fence. Mike Tiller struck out 8 over 6 innings.
