Championship: The Clementes jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the first, the Flying Dogs answered right back with 2 in the first and 3 in the second to knot the game up. After the offensive outburst by both clubs pitching and defense took over for a few innings. The Clementes finally broke through with a solo homerun to move ahead 6-5, they later tacked on a run and made it 7-5. Clementes blanked the Dogs with some outstanding defensive plays to win the game and the Championship.

Semi Finals:  Game 1 ended on an extra inning walk off Home run by Tom Cook to help the Potomac Clements to down the PW Black Sox 2-1.

Game 2 saw the Frederick Flying Dogs route the Warrenton Nationals 11-1 to advance to the Championship to defend their title.

Elimination Round. The 5th seed Black Sox edged the 4th seed Yankees 2-0 to advance to the semi Finals where they will face the Clementes.

GM 1 Veterans Park Friday Apr 5th~ The Warrenton Nationals and the Prince William Yankees had to go to extra innings in the kick off game of the Donna Sisk Memorial Tournament.  The Nats put up a run in the 2nd and then tacked on 2 more in the 3rd to go out to an early 3-0 lead. The Yankees struck back in the top of the 4th with 2 to cut the lead 3-2. The Nats pitching and defense kept the Yanks at bay, but with 2 down in their last at bat the Yanks tied it up 3-3. The Yanks threatened in the extra frame but Nats defense came through once again, in the bottom of the inning the Nats took advantage of the "flying splintered bat" to put runners in scoring position which Nats team manager Tom Drenenberger promptly singled home the game winner.

Tournament Play Continues tomorrow at 5 pm
