07-28-2008, 21:04 Anonymous Instant Classic - Diamondbacks v Yankees The PW Yankees and VA D-Backs played one for the ages Monday night at Vets #3. Both starting pitchers Musher and Richards dueled all night with neither team giving an inch with stellar defense. All the offense came in the last 3 at bats with Parke Brewer of the Diamondbacks sending a looping drive down the right field line to score the winning run in the bottom of the 9th. Hats off to ALL participants for one helluva game...

07-29-2008, 4:49 Anonymous Re: Instant Classic - Diamondbacks v Yankees The Diamondbacks with a winning record......what's up with that ....lol I saw last night's game against the Yankees and I have to say the Dbacks defense is as good as anybody's in the league right now . Shortstop Devan Ewell is a beast , throwing out Yankees so effortlessly .  Their outfield is one of the fastest I have seen lately , holding runners to just singles .  And the Dbacks finally have some decent pitching , both starting & coming off the bench . I saw that they still got a way's to go to get along with each other....but even that hasn't stop them from playing good baseball against quality teams in the league . I know Dback manager Skip Sisk can be a bit obnoxious but he has put together a stellar team , and my hat's off to him right now

I too was at the game and saw one Yankee in particular almost single-handly win the game If it wasnt for him the DBacks would of ran away with the game in a more convincing fashion All in all it was a great game to spectate and also a joy to see a couple of really good players on the field which I am surprised they are playing rec ball instead of pro GO DBACKS!

07-29-2008, 19:10 Anonymous Re: Instant Classic - Diamondbacks v Yankees Great game last night D-Backs.  You guys really fought hard and gave us a beating we deserved with all the internal struggles we have going on, which is obvious through other posts around the site.  Congrats again to the D-Backs, you guys really shut us down.  Now for our guys, I hope you see that it isn't worth it to argue and complain amongst ourselves, we need to pull together as we go into the playoffs and get the job done, which I know we can.  Logan
