The Potomac Hawks have captured the Tier II Championship
with a come from behind victory on Sunday at the Stadium.
The Seminoles got on the board in the top of the second as
Mike Kay scored form third on a wild pitch, the Hawks
answered in their half of the second on an RBI single by
Mike Tiller. The game remain knotted at 1 until the 7th when
the Seminoles finally broke through on RBI Sac-Fly from Nate
Keranen. The Hawks were help in check all day by Seminole
starting pitcher Ernie Baker, but in the 8th Baker gave way
to reliever Mike Gramlich who walked the first Hawk he faced
then gave up consecutive RBI Singles coming from Hall,
Mistric, Reatagui, Rodriquez and Clements as the Hawks
scored 7 time to break the game open and complete the
comeback for the second straight day and claim the TIER II
title. |
