Woodbridge, VA---Apr 22, 2007

The Va. Diamondbacks gave the Potomac Hawks a game Sunday but the Hawks came out on top in this one run affair winning 5-4 at Douglas-Marshall Stadium/Freedom HS today on a great sunny day for baseball.

The Hawks; Steven Rodriguez drove in the winning run in the top of the eight with two out line drive single to left to put the Hawks up 5-4 which proved to be the  game winning RBI. Galvin Dent in 3 innings of relief gave up only 1 hit and striking out 2 to earn the win. Mike Walkowiak went 3-5 with three doubles to pace the Hawks.

Following their upsetting lose to the Hawks Tuesday night at Prince William Stadium the D'Backs came to play with 11 base hits and 4 unanswered runs to tie the score at 4 all in the 6th inning.  Ryan Parent, Will Lewis, Brandon Weaver, and Alan Knapp all had base hit RBI's.

The play of the game a WEB GEM, maybe even the year was turned in by Diamondbacks 2nd baseman James Kannard....who turned  a 4-4-3  triple play a first in Diamondbacks history.

The Hawks will take on the NV Dodgers Tuesday Night at the Stadium 7:30 PM

The Diamondbacks swing back into action on Saturday taking on the NV Red Sox at 10 AM
