Woodbridge, VA---July 30, 2006

Thomas Kirsch's RBI Single drove in Mike Kay with the winning run as the Fredericksburg Seminoles upset the Potomac Brewers 4-3 Sunday night in semipro baseball at Veteran's Park in Woodbridge.
  The Seminoles victory knocked the Brewers out of first place in the Blue & Gray Baseball League South and opened the door for Meadows Farms of Stafford to clinch the division title in the the final week of the regular season.
   Fredericksburg's Adrian Johnson was the winning pitcher in relief of starter G.T. Hitt.
   The Seminoles came from behind to tie the game with two runs in the eighth inning.

 

  Next up:

The Brewers face the First Horizon Blues next Sunday that has major play-off implications as both teams have a shot at winning their division titles.

 

  The Fredericksburg Seminoles will meet the Dulles Orioles on Thursday to close out their regular season.
