Trailing 4-1 after 4 innings Cedric Richardson of the Potomac Hawks hit a two
run blast over the right center fence to get the Hawks within a run at 4-3. The
Potomac Brewers capitalized on three walks in the top of the seven inning to
increase their lead 7-3. In the bottom of the seventh with one out and two men
on Jose Pabon hot a moon shot home run to deep left center to pull the Hawks
within one run 7-6. Reliever Eric Rausch came in the top of the eighth inning
and held the Brewers scoreless to give the Hawks a chance. With one out in the
bottom of the eight inning Galvin Dent surprised the Brewers with and infield
bunt to put the tying run aboard, then Steven Rodriguez moved Galvin over to
second with a single, Jarred Drake came up and hit another single to drive in
the tying run. The Brewers now faced with men on second and third and
intentionally walk Cedric Richardson to load the bases , Jose Pabon witha
2 -1 count singled to force home Rodriguez from third base with the
game-winning run.
